movie | marvel
it's hard to rate marvel movies, especially these days. it was kind of ok, but tried too hard to be Ragnarok
which was blatant... jokes every two secondes but none of them actually landed as well as they did in Waititi's precedent Thor.
Also, fuck this story: i wanted to see the asguardians of the galaxy's adventures instead. i guess they had to end Thor's arc, meh...
movie | comedy, drama
a very delicate movie, that subtly unfolds its characters and the complexity of their relationships. a perfectly calibrated 90minutes story,
that knows how to juggle between humor and heavier moments.
movie | comedy
i ... don't know where to start? i don't even know if the director himself realizes that he made a movie
leaning into eugenics? anyways... some people think it predicted the future, because it depicts how the "stupid people" reproduced too much
while the smart ones didn't and so the entire world has become "dumb". let me remind you: we are, actually, in this deep shit
because the people who gain the more power in our societies are exactly the people praised as the smartest ones in the movie.
movie | comedy, musical
everything Connann (2024) could never be. incredible visuals. loved everything about it, though the last 10 minutes were unfortunatly way too slow-paced.
movie | sci-fi, comedy
TW:
blood, violence
undeniably flawed, but it doesn't make me less happy that this movie exists. watch it if you need a light-hearted yet visually striking sci-fi movie.
tv-show | action, adv., drama, +
not even halfway through it, but the X-Files vibes, the convoluted arcs, and even the typical 00s's tv show flaws help me fall in love with it. actors are top tier even in their overdramatic stances (love them for it, though i'm probably biased). couldn't be happier that it dragged for so many seasons, although i'm hoping the quality won't drop too drastically.
